Ecoflow Powerstation Custom Install for Truck Camper
Просмотров 205Год назад
Helping my father-in-law custom install an Ecoflow power station in his truck camper. I installed a selector switch connected to two outlets. The outlet for position 1 is connected to the shoreline wire. When I’m this selection, it allows the powerstation to deliver power to the camper. The outlet for position 2 is connected to the interior power branch line. When I’m this position, it allows t...

An acoustic version of Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears. I’ve always enjoyed this song. And every time I hear it, it reminds me of a classic 80’s movie that I also enjoy called Real Genius, starring Val Kilmer. The song is played at the end of the movie. #improbablyplayingthiswrong #everybodywantstoruletheworld #tearsforfears #washburn

Hey man, I have a 2024 RZR 1000xp with a light bar baja style that has 2 relays on the harness what do I do in this case to wire up these Amazon plugs on are pulse bar. Thanks :)
Sounds like it's a multipurpose light bar with multiple triggers. The instructions for the light bar should identify what the trigger should be for each relay.
They need PulseBar Plugs that have the relay attached directly as one plug. no need for connecting wires,
thank you for the awesome video. it was/is/will be super helpful! love from maine.
Picked up a '24 RZR and learning a ton about this as I am adding several accessories. Here is some random info, I didn't even think to look into....fuses. This car has several different types of fuses; Primary Fuse Center (under the center arm rest) uses various MCASE fuses, with a 200A ZCASE fuse on the cable feeding the Pulse Bar. At the Pulse Bar, that 40A fuse is a JCASE fuse for direct protection on that bar. The switched ignition on the Pulse Bar has a 10A mini blade fuse which can be found in the Secondary Fuse Center next to the drivers knee; this is the "TERM BLK" fuse. Who in the world carries around these types of fuses, should one blow?? Now I do.....
Good stuff 👍🏻
🔥🔥 what psi r u running out there?
Very informative. I have had the same trouble. Thanks
I appreciated the video so much, I watched all the commercials. Thank you!
Your going to burn your house down
Dude you are terrible, learn how to don't give a wiring job, your terrible grade f.
I would just like to add that wrench is called a crow's foot. The rusty ball parts you found are for the float detent. Your blower lift cylinder should be connected to those two connections to allow the blower to float with no down pressure when that lever is fully moved forward. The downside of buying a used item is you have no idea how long will it last before the same thing happens again. But I would have done the same thing as everything Deere is very expensive. I likely would have tried to repair the assembly before I purchased another. Other than that, very helpful video.
thin im just getting an auxbeam when I add lights, having to buy a relay and an inline fuses when they are pre installed. and mounting it in a easier to get to location. The new 24 XP RZR its mounted in such a crap spot, and now I ahve a windshield installed, so roof has to come off to remove windshield, then the dash panel, and its mounted opposite of where you can see it.
I did something similar with a RIBU1C and our gas fireplace. Alexa smart plug powers the RIB and closes the millivolt contact to ignite. I removed the wall switch and added an automation so that once powered it shuts off after two hours. Works like a charm!
Can you show your set up. I am trying to create this setup myself.
Were heading up there next week never road up there
Did you need a 24v transformer
Wheeling has become such a shit show...More money than brains...Everywhere
it doesn't need to be replaced with a new part when t has just been unused for years. minnesota equipment dealer in rogers mechanic told me the trick is to take the side covers off and use cleaning penetrating oil as it's just seized, like all rusty things heating stuff up helps, but really you don't need to do that with all the rubber seals in it, there are spring tensioned parts that will explode out after you take the cap bolts off so hold a finger over the cap and slowly let each come out and have another hand or parts bucket/tray right below to catch everything that springs out and look at the order of it all as you remove it. i disconnected the steering column lever and used some heavy handed persuasion with a 2 pound and a flat head round punch to get things moving before hitting it with the penetrating oil and then the lubricating oil and reconnecting the steering column handle lever and working it back and forth each way a couple hundred times until it felt as smooth as the working one before reassembling the spring valves and securing the cap covers. you only need to remove the cover of the stuck one, usually it is the top one the deere mechanics said goes unused for years as most every one just uses the up down function for the mower deck.
Good advice! Thanks!
Thats awesome man! I didn’t even know they made little smart switches that can hook up to alexa, so my question is this will continue happening even though you have the rib relay installed to reset only, because the smart switch can only hold 5-6amps correct? The best way is for you to run its own circuit from the breaker with higher amps to your heater. Or am i missing something?thanks
You also may need a relay depending on the pulse relay style. If the constant power is always on (key on or off) a relay is needed to prevent un-wanted power consumption.
I like what you did here, but could you show me how to add the 5 prong rocker switch with the relay, and pulse bar. I am over thinking this cause I cant get it to work. Thanks Don
Can you please provide some more details about your wiring setup? From what is available in the video, it is totally unclear how this functions as a relay, and why a relay is necessary. It looks like you ran a switched circuit partially through a relay, which works because a switched circuit is all you needed to begin with: a smart switch to open the circuit the fireplace is on. I think you can pull this thing out and put it to work somewhere else.
I realized after I wrote this that the switch wouldn't be rated for the load needed by the fireplace, and that is why the relay was needed. You might have mentioned this in the video. I was skipping through looking for the areas where my questions might have been addressed. My confusion is regarding the "max" mA rating on the coil input. It was unclear if this is a measure of the maximum current the coil would add to a circuit, or if this is the maximum current the coil is capable of handling without burning out and required some sort of transformer or overcurrent protection. Now that it's not so late at night I'm a little more able to work through this question, but I would love to see the actual completed wiring to confirm.
I got some questions on this I’d like to ask trying to wire in a pulse bar and relays now
Outstandiing video. I broke the cap and lost the two ball bearings. I ordered a replacement spool valve for $129 from eBay. I moved the cap to the existing spool valve BUT did not understand placement of the two ball bearings. Now I do. I removed the cap, removed the side plugs, removed the springs, removed the ball bearings, cleaned everything, installed the caps and inserted the ball bearings and installed the side plugs. To you: thank you. It works perfectly now.
Did you have to charge the system when it was all back together?
I did not. It's part of the hydro drive system. Very little fluid came out when I disconnected the lines and it immediately primed when I went to use it.
👏👏👏👏
Very well explained.. nice workbench also😁
The 400 series John Deere tractors were made between 1992-2001.
How do you hardwire it?
Next to the computer is the winch solenoid. The large terminals on the solenoid are the power connections from the battery and to the winch. The small terminals/wires are for the winch switch/trigger.
@@158burton1 so do you just completely bypass the module?
Yes. The computer went bad. Cut it out and threw it away. Just kept the solenoid.
I am doing same job, now, all ready ruined the replacement bought on ebay, cant remember how to reconnect chain link connecters to flat linkage and spool rods , you did not show how you connected the linkage under machine, I tried to apart the spool rods on new one and messed them up, any tips would be helpfull , thanks jim
Hi, Jim. The master links have a release plate at the top. The lock slides on and off over the pins. In my video, start watching at 1:40 mark and you’ll see and hear me talk about those little boogers.
It's safe to say the Pro XP got water in the belt, it's no coincidence you got stuck in water at that height. As an owner of the same machine, you should look at the belt exhaust, it's rather low but a fix is available from Dig Rig.
Initially, we thought the same thing, but the belt and clutches were completely dry. Dealer said the clutches were new. But, when we pulled the clutches, they had dried mud and burnt rubber on them. Also, belt box exhaust was clogged with an old shredded belt. Because someone previously flooded it, the surface of the two way bearing had rust on it and would let the sheaves come all the way together. I cleaned up the clutches and put a clutch kit in it. Works perfect now.
Also, it was darn close to the belt box exhaust. And I actually have a dig rig snorkel kit in my garage. About to put it on in a few weeks.
Mark says Only Polaris getting stuck!!😂😂
Lol. That’s back when I was still a Can Am guy.
I did this repair a couple of Years ago. I can tell you it wasn't a fun job. But saved an enormous amount of Money, being paid to the Green Mafia (A.K.A. John Deere).

I don´t understand the purpose of this switch. Ecoflow powerstations (I do also have one, but a smaller one), are able to receive and release power at the same time. So either solar from the converter and/or grid from the input side, and output the same time. It can be also used as an USV. The only important one would be, that the Ecoflow would be "built in" with the display and power on button visible from the outside every time. So something like a spare in the front of the storage door, which fits the size of the front panel of the ecoflow. And some doors for the inputs and outputs to connect and release, if needed. By the way: With the usage of solar, it could make sense to add some additional (car, truck, whatever) battery to charge this thing from the ecoflow as a backup, and get power of it, as needed. Because the ecoflow could work like this. For this, it would make sense to add a switch for to change input from solar to external battery, and, if needed, a second one for the 12V output to switch between external battery for to charge or additional usage in the camper.
We did it this way because we didn’t want the Ecoflow scavenging power from itself. My parents are many times in a remote area with no shore power. We wanted to ensure that stores energy in the Ecoflow was only for camper use. This of course only applies to the AC system. They also have a connection to their battery bank and solar system which can be used at any time.
Good stuff!!
Nice video! I love Black Mountain. It is in my top three trail systems for sure. I have the same machine too! The only difference is.....I ride mine fast and hard! I wasn't sure if ya'll were out there bird watching or riding! Lol! Just kid'n, love the video and be safe out there!
Thanks! I do enjoy those trails and love my quad. Unfortunately, I’m the only one in my group that likes those trails. Haha. I find the pics and videos never do justice to what is actually happening. Or, I’m just slow. Hahaha. Ride safe my friend.
awesome quad....what are you running for GPS and bluetooth?
Thanks! I use a Trailtech Voyager Pro.
Where is this place?
Silver lake sand dunes are located near Mears, Michigan.
Great video and all but you were not even going above 30mph. Please next add some speed because your content is amazing.
why does it look like you have Holeshots on your X MR? You get stuck so easy. Or did you put a snorkel on an X xc?
Yep, it’s an XXC with stock holeshots. Can’t wait for them to wear out so I can get better and bigger tires.
How do you get there, I tried to find that trail but cant
If you look at the DNR trail maps it’s the Tomahawk trail system. The thumbnail water hole was near the intersection of Buckeye Beach Road and Standard Lake Road.
Are timers wireless or wired? If pump is in far corner downstairs and countdown timers are at the other end of the house upstairs, are you hardwiring them? The Insteon countdown timers were great before they discontinued them.
Hi. I was dealing with a crawlspace and unfinished basement, so it was very easy for me to put in hardwired switches.
I thought people camping out on top of test hill were the worst but it is those camped at the bottom. Great video!
Thanks!
@@158burton1 I see you have HMF Duals on your Renegade. Do you have the quiet cores installed? Is your Renegade the 850 or 1000? I love the sound of HMF's. Thanks buddy!
